Best OBD2 scanners for DPF regeneration

Not every OBD2 scanner can force a DPF regeneration. You need bidirectional control plus manufacturer-specific service functions, and most cheap tools have neither. These are the scanners I trust for DPF work, tested across VAG, BMW, Mercedes, Ford, PSA, and Asian diesels.

The Youcanic UCAN-II full-system is very similiar to Mucar892BT with the DPF regeneration feature working on most brand (every car I tried). Make sense since both run on same software provider.

The Autel IM608 PRO 2 can be overkill for some DIY work but consider this tool for shop. For most compelx DPF faults when people came from shops that couldn\\\'t reset DPF or adapt new DPF values or force regen on hardest cases, this does the job.
