This page explains the limits of what iamcarhacker (Carhacker OÜ) can promise. It adds to our Terms and Conditions.

1. Education, not professional advice

Reviews, procedures, videos, the course, the AI assistant and the online tools show how things work and what worked on the vehicles we used. They are not professional, manufacturer or legal advice. Every vehicle, control unit, software version and tool is different, so the same steps can have a different result on your car.

2. Your risk

Diagnostics, coding, programming, cloning and tuning can damage control units, keys, tools and vehicles, erase data, void warranties, and in some cases cause injury. You decide what you do and you carry that risk. Always:

• read and save an untouched backup of every control unit before writing to it;
• use a stable power supply during programming;
• check procedures against manufacturer documentation;
• stop and ask a professional when you are not sure.

3. Legality depends on where you are

Immobilizer and key work, immobilizer deactivation, mileage correction, ECU remapping, and changes to emissions systems (DPF, EGR, AdBlue and others) are legal only in some situations, and rules differ by country. A procedure being shown on this Website does not mean it is legal where you are, or for your vehicle. You must only work on vehicles you own or are authorized to work on, and you are responsible for checking the law before you start. We do not support and will not help with vehicle theft, odometer fraud, or driving vehicles that do not meet road and emissions rules.

4. Online tools

Tool results depend on the file you upload. A result can be missing or wrong. Check it before use and keep your original file. We are not liable for damage caused by writing a file or using a result, within the limits set in our Terms.

5. AI assistant

AI answers are generated automatically and can be wrong or invented. Treat them as a starting point, and check them before you buy anything or touch a vehicle.

6. Community content and shared links

Questions, answers, shared links and experience reports come from members and from our team, and are not checked by us before publishing. Files behind shared links are hosted by third parties. We do not scan them, do not guarantee they are safe or legal to use, and do not grant any license to them. You are responsible for respecting software licenses and for scanning anything you download.

7. Tools, clones and trademarks

Reviews reflect the hardware, firmware and software versions we tested, at the time we tested them. Manufacturers change their products and prices. Some reviewed tools are unofficial copies (“clones”) of other products. We describe how they perform so readers can decide, and this is not a statement that buying or using them is legal where you are. All product and brand names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify products.

8. Accuracy

We update content when we find something outdated or wrong, but we cannot guarantee that everything is current and complete. If you find a mistake, tell us at info@iamcarhacker.com.
