From my experience testing Nissan and Infiniti vehicles, most budget scanners only read engine codes and skip other systems like CVT, ABS, or airbag. To get proper diagnostics, you need a tool that can talk to all control units, perform active tests, and support ECU coding or key programming. The best scanners for Nissan give you access close to the official Consult software used at dealerships.
