Mucar BT200 Max is perfect OBD2 scanner for DIY mechanics. It is extremely cheap but it is hiding software from professional scan tools with full-system scan, service procedures and even bi-directional tests.

One of the best choices for your first ELM327 adapters. It will work basically for any app that does not require a high-end fast connection like OBDLink MX+ has.
One of the cheapest adapters that works for both operating systems without any problems.

3. OBDlink MX+
OBDLink MX+
OBDLink is not the cheapest adapter you can buy, but it rewards you with a reliable connection and support of all OBD2 protocols for a higher price.
An adapter like this is not completely necessary when working just with global OBD modes, but for using ECU coding and advanced service procedures, it will greatly reduce the risk of damaging control modules compared to cheaper adapters.

4. VGate Vlinker MS
Vgate Vlinker MS is a good budget alternative to OBDLink MX+ as it comes with advanced ELM327 functionality but for around half of it’s price. It has a connection secured with a pairing button on the adapter, the newest ELM 2.3 version, and a quick response in just 7ms.

Couldn’t find anything wrong with this adapter. Pairing and connection is simple, it has a stable and fast connection which makes it perfect for advanced ELM327 apps like gathering data logs or doing ECU coding.
It can be a great cheaper alternative to OBDLink Mx+, if you are looking for a better ELM adapter but don’t want to spend that much money.
