Service tools

Use these tools responsibly, and know your local law.

These tools modify safety- and security-critical control units (airbag, immobilizer, ECU, emissions). In many countries, disabling an immobilizer, clearing DTCs, removing EGR/DPF, or resetting airbag crash data for road use is restricted or illegal, and airbag work directly affects occupant safety. Only use them on vehicles you own or are authorized to work on, only after the underlying fault has been repaired, and check the laws and regulations in your country first. Always verify every file on the bench before writing it to a vehicle. You are responsible for how you use these files.

New to this?

These tools assume you can read and write a module's EEPROM or flash with a programmer, and that you are comfortable with advanced OBD2 and bench programming. If you are not sure where to start, my beginner course walks you through it step by step, from the first read to writing a file back safely.
