Mucar DriverScan TESTED | Honest Review
Last Updated on April 11, 2026 by Juraj
I tested the Mucar DriverScan on several cars, including my Toyota Corolla, Fiat Punto and Renault Kangoo.
It uses the same style of software as ThinkDiag2, but costs much less.
This is a simple Bluetooth adapter that gives you full-system access and bi-directional tests without subscriptions.

Test Results on Real Cars
I tested it on real cars.
Cars used:
• Toyota Corolla
• Renault Kangoo
• Fiat Punto
• older VW platform (basic tests)
• a few used cars during inspections
Full Scan
Full scan took 33 seconds on Toyota.
It detected 33 modules — about one module per second.
Very fast for a Bluetooth adapter.
You can generate a PDF report.
There is an AI explanation feature, but it is basic. It just repeats general advice.
Not really helpful in real diagnostics.
Bi-Directional Tests
Works in all modules tested.
Engine, ABS, SRS, body control, etc.
Examples tested:
• door locks
• radiator fan
• wipers
• throttle modulation
• washer relay
• lights
For body module: around 30 different tests available.
Reaction speed:
• Door lock: ~2 seconds delay
• ThinkDiag 2: almost instant
So DriverScan is slightly slower.
Live Data
Clean layout.
Graphs work fine.
No freezing.
Failures
• Auto-VIN failed on some older models
• AI analysis not helpful
• Bi-directional delay on some modules
