The smoke machine can help you detect leaks in different systems in your car, for example, EVAP, exhaust, or intake system, and help you diagnose & confirm if you really have to replace expensive parts like the catalytic convertor or MAF sensor. Maybe the fault code is caused only by a leak!

Testing & Unboxing Udiag smoke machine
The smoke machine is very easy to set up with a simple-to-understand instructions manual.
First, you need to add oil through a hole in the top of the smoke machine. This oil will create smoke once it is heated, but it is not included in the packaging.
You need to also screw the hook on top of the machine, so you can hang it when performing a test under the hood.
Then connect a 12V power line. It has alligator ends (red and black) which you need to attach to the car battery (red on +), (black on -).
Also, connect hose to the smoke vent and you are ready to use your smoke machine 🙂
Once you connect power cables to a car battery, the air pump inside the smoke machine will run always when it is powered.
There is only one button on the smoke machine and that controls smoke ON/OFF.
Turn on the smoke and after a few seconds, you will get smoke coming out of a hose.
Check how I placed the smoke hose inside and tested the air intake and I can see smoke coming out of the sides (intake is not sealing).
You also get a bunch of different adapters with a smoke machine which you can choose from to fit best the system you are testing.
For example, for testing the EVAP system trough a gas tank, you can use this one.
Get smoke machine
I recommend getting this tool since it will help you diagnose problems in different areas of the car like exhaust, EVAP, air intake, turbocharger, etc.. Basically everything that should be sealing you can test out with a smoke machine and avoid changing random parts that are actually good!
