The Ancel PB500 Power Probe is a versatile diagnostic tool that can perform a variety of functions that are useful for automotive electrical testing and troubleshooting. Even as a beginner at electrical testing at the time, I found it very helpful.

I was able to test out my headlights, and wiring for headlights through putting voltage directly to the fuse. I also tested components out of the car with built-in ground cable + some other tests in my short test.
I found the component activation most useful, as you can have a bi-directional function for vehicles that do not support OBD2 yet.

The Ancel PB500 is a solid choice for those needing a versatile and affordable power probe for automotive electrical diagnostics. While it may not have all the advanced features of more expensive models, it covers the essentials well and provides a good balance between functionality and cost.
If you’re looking for something with more advanced features or a more rugged design, you might consider higher-end models like the Power Probe III or IV, but for most users, the PB500 offers excellent value.
